NC & Its People in the American Revolution

Dr. Arwin Smallwood of NC A&T returns to the Asheboro Library for a talk about the American Revolution, which will have its 250th anniversary in July 2026! Dr. Smallwood--recipient of the prestigious Gov. James E. Holshouser, Jr. Award for sustained, distinguished, and superb achievement in the university public service and outreach--explores how African- and Native Americans in NC before, during and after the war, and how the experiences shaped their lives, as well as the lives of all North Carolinians.
